African Oxtail

A wholesome dish perfect for a Winter evening.


• 1.5 kilograms Oxtail Pieces
• 2 tablespoon Oil
• 2 cup Sauce-a-licious Boston BBQ
• 1/3 cup Red Wine
• 2 x Robertsons Bay Leaves
• 2 tablespoon Flour
• 1 x Onion, coarsely chopped
• 400 grams Tomato Relish
• 1.5 cup Water
• 4 x Sprigs of Fresh Thyme

• Coat the oxtail pieces in flour, heat half the oil in a pan and brown the oxtail pieces in batches.
• Set aside.
• Heat the remaining oil in the same pan.
• Sauté onion and garlic, return the oxtail to the pan and add Quinns Tomatoe Relish, Sauce-a-licious Boston BBQ, water, wine, thyme and bay-leaves.
• Simmer for 2-3 hours or until oxtail is tender.
